03. Event
The lights of Mikontalo will be lit at Hervanta, Tampere on Tuesday 4th of December 2007 at 17:00. Be there and participate! The event is free of charge for anyone interested. The event will end around 21:00. The games will continue on Wednesday 5th of December at 17:00-20:00. Finlands Independence Day 6th of December will be honored by patriotic graphics. After this, we'll let the renovation of Mikontalo be continued and we'll thank TOAS and Palmberg for the possibility to carry out Mikontalolights.
We kindly ask the audience to enter event area in the parking lot opposite Mikontalo (the other side of Insinöörinkatu) on 4th of December. On the event area there will be a small grill for snacks, music and other activities. And not to forget the main thing - Tetris. In addition, the game company Universomo is implementing another game! But lets keep the name of the game a secret still for a moment... The speakers of the event are the hilarious Heikki Ruski & Harri Kailanto. We promise the weather to be just great as usual ;)
You can also participate by creating a demo for the platform. There will be Huge trophies for the winner of the demo contest! Send a GIF-animation, resolution of 9x11 to contact@mikontalolights.fi. There's also more info available about the application programming interface if you're yearning to code something more special.
ps. Do take your student's cap (teekkarilakki) with you but leave alcohol at home. As the parking lots are already overbooked, it's better to get to Hervanta by bus.
